Do you keep it all....?

So I have my husband on my case because the attic is so cluttered and he thinks we should throw away some of my 6 year olds things that I kept. Little things like all his work he's done in school, and other art projects done at home. He doesn't understand why I keep them all, I keep them because when he gets older then he can see what he did in kindergarten or I can look back at those memories. He says that he's not going to care about what he did in kindergarten. It's like he's never going to be 6 ever again not 5, 4, or even 3 and I just don't understand how he could just throw something like that away. Ok maybe I am going a bit over board by keeping notes from the teacher, but not art projects. How do I compromise with him that these things are my silly little memories wither my son cares about them or not. I don't think he understands because his parents never kept anything not even things from when he was a baby, I kept a lot of my son's baby things like his first pacifier, outfit he wore home, even a clean diaper from the hospital. Am I being a little to much like a pack rat and should I "throw away" some of the silly school things?
