Literature during the Enlightenment era?

Im doing a presentation of the Enlightenment in my English cl, so obviously the topic has to relate to literature aspect of the Enlightenment. What exactly did literature during this era explore? Who were the key players? oh and a small list of books would be appreciated Thanks in advance
