About telling my boss...... cont.?

I understand that it is illegal to discriminate against pregnant people and they cant fire you for being pregnant.... but if its at an interview.... dont you think that if they dont like the idea that your pregnant that they can simply say that we've hired someone more qualfied....? They dont have to come out and say , we cant hire a pregnant women..... Ya get what im saying?
