Hp dv5...Black screen, cap lock, and num lock LED flashing....CPU Failure?

I was working on my laptop earlier and the mouse began to freeze on me. I restarted the computer and upon restarting the screen turned black and the caps lock and num lock LED lights began to flash. I looked this up on the HP site and it says ONE flash means CPU failure..... I know my laptop fan had been acting up the past few weeks(like a flipping noise inside) although it was not over heating. Could this have something to do with it? And what should I do at this point?
