Selection for a recessive allele and against a dominant allele in the population?
Let's call the trait A. So the dominant allele is A and the recessive allele is a. Selection occurs at the phenotypic level so organisms with the dominant trait will be either AA or Aa while those with the recessive trait will be aa. If you are selecting for the recessive traits, aa will survive (or reproduce) at a greater frequency than either AA or Aa. This would lead to a population with more aa individuals and fewer AA or Aa individuals in each generation. The situation only stabilizes when everyone in the population is aa which is answer E.
