Can a wishlist for your birthday come true?(like 16 wishes)?

ok, so i was bored... and i just saw the movie 16 wishes... and to be-rid of my boredom, i made a wishlist. i know if you say things like: "i want a barbie doll!" theyll probably come true, but will magic actually be involved? just a thought, and please dont say anything negative!
